1. Agreement and parties
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are supplemental terms between you and Yaokun Li (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for Teleprompter: Video & Script (the “App,” bundle identifier com.lyk.teleprompter). Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”) governs your license to the App. These Terms add details about the App's features, purchases, content, and support; they do not replace the Apple Standard EULA.
By downloading, installing, purchasing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms, the Apple Standard EULA, and our Privacy Policy. If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA or mandatory law, the Apple Standard EULA and mandatory law control to the extent of that conflict.
2. License and restrictions
Your license to use the App is granted under the Apple Standard EULA. Without limiting that agreement, the App is licensed, not sold, for personal use on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by Apple's Usage Rules. The App may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or other Apple features where Apple permits.
Except where applicable law expressly permits, you may not copy, redistribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive source code, bypass purchase verification or technical limits, interfere with operation or security, or use the App to build a competing product.
3. Acceptable use and permissions
The App is a recording and presentation tool. You may use it only in compliance with applicable law and the rights of other people. You are responsible for obtaining any consent, location permission, copyright license, publicity right, or other authorization needed to record, store, share, or publish people, places, scripts, music, images, and other content.
You may not misuse the App, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass purchase checks or technical limits, or use it to violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other legal rights.
4. Your content and local files
You retain ownership of scripts and recordings you create or import. The App stores scripts, settings, and App-local recording originals on your device and does not provide a cloud content account. You control sharing and deletion. Saving a recording to Photos creates a separate copy, and deleting one copy does not automatically delete the other.
You are responsible for keeping enough device storage available and for backing up important files. Removing the App deletes its App-local data, while separate copies already saved to Photos may remain there.
5. Free and Pro features
Free use is currently limited to scripts of up to 300 words and recordings of up to 3 minutes per take at 1080p and 30 fps. Pro may remove these limits and may unlock Voice Follow and higher-quality recording combinations supported by the front camera on your iPhone. Available features can depend on your device, iOS version, language, downloaded Apple system assets, region, and App Store product availability.
6. Purchases, subscriptions, and trials
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The App Store purchase sheet shows the subscription title, localized price, billing period, price per unit when applicable, and any trial available to your Apple Account before you confirm. The App may offer Monthly Pro, Annual Pro, and a one-time Lifetime Pro purchase. Product availability and prices vary by region and are the amounts Apple displays at confirmation.
Monthly Pro renews each month and Annual Pro renews each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period or Apple states a different deadline. Apple charges your Apple Account at purchase confirmation and for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. A subscription continues at the price Apple presents to you, subject to any notice and consent Apple requires for a price change. Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase and does not renew.
When Apple offers a free trial, the offer terms shown by Apple apply. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial converts to the paid subscription shown on the purchase sheet. Any unused portion of a free trial may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription where applicable.
You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally keeps Pro active through the current paid period. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription. You may restore eligible purchases in the App using the Apple Account that made them. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
Apple controls App Store billing and refund decisions. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. These Terms do not limit any mandatory refund, cancellation, or consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction.
7. Updates, availability, and recording risks
We may provide updates, fixes, or feature changes. Updates may be required for continued use, and features may change or be discontinued where permitted by law. We do not promise that the App will remain compatible with every future device or operating-system version.
We aim to keep the App reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed. Camera and microphone permissions, free storage, device heat, battery state, incoming calls, backgrounding, other apps, iOS behavior, hardware capabilities, and system updates can affect recording or recovery. Keep backups and verify important recordings before relying on or deleting another copy.
8. Privacy and third-party services
Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. Apple system services and App Store purchases are subject to Apple's own terms and privacy practices.
You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, your wireless-data agreement, and the terms of any recipient, platform, storage provider, or sharing service you choose.
9. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, design, interfaces, graphics, and documentation, is owned by or licensed to the Developer and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or our marks to you. You retain the rights you hold in your own content.
If a third party claims that the App or your possession and use of it infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, the Developer, not Apple, is responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and discharging that claim.
10. Maintenance, support, and product claims
The Developer is solely responsible for maintenance and support for the App as required by applicable law or described in these Terms. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
The Developer, not Apple, is responsible for addressing claims by you or a third party relating to the App or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar laws.
11. Warranties and disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
If the App fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App. The Developer is responsible for other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, recordings, profits, revenue, business, or goodwill arising from or related to the App, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or any mandatory consumer rights.
13. Suspension, termination, and changes
You may stop using and delete the App at any time; deleting it does not cancel a subscription. Your license may end as provided in the Apple Standard EULA. We may restrict or suspend access to App services where reasonably necessary to protect the App, users, rights holders, security, or legal compliance. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits.
We may revise these Terms when the App, legal requirements, or business practices change. We will post revised Terms on this page and update the effective date. Where applicable law requires notice or consent, we will provide it.
14. Legal compliance
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country or region subject to a United States Government embargo or designated by the United States Government as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable export-control, sanctions, and local laws.
15. Apple as third-party beneficiary
As provided in the Apple Standard EULA, Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of your license agreement for the App and may enforce that agreement against you.
16. General
If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, transfer, or sale of the App, subject to applicable law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Apple Standard EULA, and any mandatory legal terms together govern your use of the App.
